20 years celebrating books at Cork festival

- At the opening night, a medley of Irish writers - Mary Morrissy, Evelyn Conlon and Elaine Feeney - will be in conversation with broadcaster Olivia O’Leary at City Library on April 23.
- Booker prize winner, Paul Lynch will be in conversation with writer Alannah Hopkin at Triskel about ‘Prophet Song’ on April 26.
- Cork Stories, edited by writers Madeleine D’Arcy and Laura McKenna, will be launched at St Peter’s on April 28.
- Lynda Marron, debut author from CWBF ‘Get Published’ sessions, will read from her novel, Last Chance in Paris, at City Library on April 27.
- The launch of Ceoltóirí Chualann: The Band that Changed the Course of Irish Music, by Peadar Ó Riada and Seán Ó Sé, will be launched by fiddle player Martin Hayes at the City library on April 26. There will be music too!
- A new anthology of essays on music from contemporary writers entitled ‘You Spin Me Round’ will be launched with Peter Geoghegan and Declan Long. Moderated by Dean Browne, it takes place at Triskel on April 25.
- A teen graphic novel launch, over a series of workshops with teenagers, will see them devise character, plot and narrative at City Library on April 24.
- A Psychology and Literature event will see psychologist Tony Bates and editor Neil Astley in conversation with poet Thomas McCarthy at Triskel on April 27.
- Galician poet and novelist Susana Sanchez Arins will read from her novel And They Say, moderated by Martín Veiga.
- Palestinian poet Marwan Makhoul and his translator Raphael Cohen will read with Eibhlís Carcione, Áine Uí Fhoghlú and Louis de Paor at Triskel on April 27.
