Late Late Show: Leo Varadkar to give first interview since standing down as taoiseach

Former taoiseach Leo Varadkar will give "his first in-depth interview" during RTÉ's Late Late Show on Friday night.

The ex-Fine Gael leader will use his appearance on the broadcaster's flagship chat show to "reveal all about his decision to step down" as taoiseach.

Mr Varadkar, who is still a Dublin West TD, shocked the country when he announced in late March that he was resigning as Fine Gael leader and taoiseach.

Also appearing on Friday night's programme is former rugby star Brian O'Driscoll, alongside Michaela Morley, who he met when she was a child in Temple Street Hospital in 2011.

The Late Late Show will air this Friday on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player from 9.35pm.
